I used to have a boyfriend, his name was Billy and he was and will always be the love of my life. Billy and I used to love spending the chilly New York evenings here at home sitting next to the fire. Billy loved to tell me stories of how he grew up in sunny California and as we sat he would caress my cheek and tell me how much he loved me. I thought we would always be together, I even had my wedding already planned my head. One cold rainy day, Billy came home and told me he had met a girl on one of those online dating services and that he was leaving me for her. That was the worst day of my life and I still don’t know if I ever will be able to forget Billy and move on.

So the other night I was watching my idol Oprah, the episode I was watching was one regarding love. She had on many guests that had been in love and had lost love only to find it even better later in the future. She also had two very special guests; these guests were the owners of the 2 most popular online dating services. At first I was truly disgusted, for if it had not been for their sites I would still have the love of my life at my side, but as I listened to them and their guests speak about their experiences with the dating services I began to rethink my opinion.

As I sat there I realized that if Billy had been capable of joining these dating services and finding someone that so could I and that is exactly what I have decided to do. I am going to find the best site, I am going to join this site and then I am going to dedicate myself to finding the best match for me. The man I find will not be a selfish person the way Billy was, I am going to find a man that would never ever cheat on me. A man that will love and cherish me and love me for who I am. These were all things that Billy was incapable of doing but I know that I will find a man that can and will and I will lead a very happy rest of my life.
