The other day I was having lunch with two of my friends Angel and Jane. We were talking about "dating" and "boyfriends".

Angel told us she had met her boyfriend through an Internet dating directory. At the beginning she didn't believe she could find her lovable half through Internet, but she gave it a go.

She registered and in couple of days of browsing, someone caught her interest. After two months of using instant messaging and phone calls they decided to meet face to face. Angel fell in love completely with Matt and they have now been dating for 6 months.

Jane's story is a bit different, she is going out with an Australian guy she met at a party. His name is Jonathan. She told us this guy caught her attention at the party, because he looks a lot like Wess Carr, the guy who won Australia idol in 2008. The funny thing is that Jonathan actually has a on-line dating business. Jane told us that Internet dating or on-line dating services have grown a lot in the last five years and they are expected to grow more and more.

I am single, but I never though about internet dating. Angel told me she could help me to find a suitable website where I can start searching for my other half. After spending couple of hours on the internet I discovered that there is a huge amount of websites that are offering this kind of services.

I joined two sites and I have got some messages from three guys already. One the messages is from a guy who lives in South Africa, his name is Sam. He sent his picture and he looks really handsome. I don't know if should reply his message, he might not be the person in the picture, he might not even be in South Africa!.The second message is from a guy that lives an hour and half from where i live, his name is Tim and he is a journalist. The third guy didn't write much about himself, but he would like to have a chat using the web cam next week.

Jane told me that Internet dating can be very dangerous if you are not careful. I think the same, she has given me some suggestions and now i feel more positive to find someone suitable through Internet dating. I just need to be patient and give it a go!
