Dating sites and online dating have become very popular for people my age and though all of my friends have joined one or even a few sites I am still unsure about doing it myself. I've gone on line and checked out a few of the morepopulardating sites but did not find one that really appealed to me. I think that they seem a bit impersonal and generic and I would like to find one that is less commercialized. Though I know that those dating sites that get a lot of promotion do have really good track records. In fact one of mygirlfriendsjust went on her first match last week and she had a really fun time I also have a friend that is actually dating a guy that she met on a dating site so I know for sure that they work but it seems a bit strange to me to get to know someone over the Internet.

I do want to get to know more guys and I know that there are a lot of them on dating sites so I think it's time to stop doubting and just go for it. It's kind of exciting to think about actually meeting someone especially since my last boyfriend and I broke up a long time ago and since then it's been kind of a bummer. Maybe I was hoping he was going to come back but if he was I think he would have done it long ago, but goodness how I used to adore him and I am really hoping never to have to go through a break up like that again. That's probably why I have been delaying myself and not joining the dating sites, because of him but it's time to move on.

So tonight I guess I am going to do it, I won't even think about it. I will just get home put dinner in the microwave and sign right up while I eat. The more I think about it the more excited I get, I can't wait to have a boyfriend again. Someone to go out to dinner with and someone to go dancing with at the clubs. I want o have someone whisper that they love me and that I am important to them and I want to be part of a couple again and forget about past hurts. It's time and I am so glad I have finally made my decision.
